Saturday morning I had to teach my Cardio-Sculpt class at MissFits in Hartford. I took the kids with me this time since I had plans after class. Scott, the boy who came to watch kids in the 'kid korner', had never watched my children before so i was a little nervous how things were going to go. I was 30 minutes early so I could open and get things set up. The kids ran around and played until it was time for class. I had one victim, uh, I mean client, for class...so we concentrated on form. Before class even started, Jakob came running out and hid behind the kickboxing bags. I told him he needed to go back to the kid area to play. He said, "That kid is being a jerk and he's not even watching me." Actually somewhat apparent to me since I found Jake before I saw the kid step out of the area to call for him. So I tried to bribe the child with a trip to McDonald's including the play area! He says, "I don't want to go to Donalds, I want to go to someone's house" So I told him he was going to have to behave while I was teaching class and then maybe we could go to someone's house. The rest of class went on without a hitch.
So my plans were to go to Hobby Lobby and purchase some scrappy items for a friend and then possibly stop in by my cousin Melanie who I haven't seen for a while. But I called my mom on my way to West Bend and she has been pretty sick with a nasty cold and possibly allergies...who knows since she won't go to the doctor. She was going to go out to get some more NyQuil, but I told her that I could pick it up for her.
So, the children and I went to Hobby Lobby, Starbucks, Wendy's for lunch, Melanie's house to visit for a couple of hours, Walmart for mom's medicine, Subway (because mom told me what she was planning to make for dinner and there was no way I could eat those)...and then we finally got to my parent's house. Both kids were sleeping and stayed sleeping when I brought them in. It was almost 5:00 pm. It started snowing about 5:30 or 6:00. *sigh* The kids woke up, we ate dinner, I helped mom with dishes and we went home...at 30 mph in the stinkin snow!
So today, I decided I wasn't leavin for nothin. I am sick or the cold freakin weather. It will be funny to look back at this post come the end of August. LOL
Well today, i haven't done a darn thing. We actually slept in because the roads were too bad to get to church according to my husband who came home from work around 7:45 this morning. I'm really not enjoying my husband working nights...and it's not even been a week. :(
